From May 2014 to March 2018, Ageev was in the illegal armed formations: “commandant's office “LNR” of the city of Rovenki, Luhansk region, “border service ‘LNR’, ‘15th territorial defense battalion of the USSR Bryanka’, ‘10 separate artillery brigade’, ‘7 separate motorized rifle brigade’, in which he performed reconnaissance at observation posts, filtration activities in the city of Rovenki. In addition, he tried to blow up an ammonia storage facility in the city of Severodonetsk, Luhansk region, but did not complete his plan because he was detained by the SBU officers. In addition, he cooperated with a representative of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, who gave him the task to blow up ammonia warehouses at PrJSC Severodonetsk Azot Association in order to mass poison the local population.
